Fö Zë Kez (/fo˞/ /zɛ/ [navy blue] [structure; system]) is a subtropical Town located in the Brotlëftavremōf Moot of the Viceroyalty of Rosid.

The name Fö Zë Kez is derived from the Wood Elvish language, as Fö Zë Kez was founded by Iovail Dhiaginra, who was culturaly Wood Elven.

Climate

Fö Zë Kez has a yearly average temperature of 15°C (59°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 27°C (80°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 3°C (37°F). Fö Zë Kez receives an average of 153 cm/y (60 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of snow during the pleasantly short winter months. Fö Zë Kez covers an area of nearly 5 km2 (2 mi2), and an average elevation of 3174 m (10413 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Fö Zë Kez was founded durring the late 13th century in winter of the year 1168, by Iovail Dhiaginra. The establishment of Fö Zë Kez was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Fö Zë Kez's construction back out of the project. Iovail Dhiaginra pushed on reguardles, and Fö Zë Kez was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Fö Zë Kez was built using the conventions of Wood Elven durring the late 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fö Zë Kez is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Fö Zë Kez is buildings are grouped arround an odd layout of narrow flagstone streets, which seems to be based on an overlapping squair patern such that there are small squares at the cornor of every bigger square. Sometimes buildings exist in the smaller squaires, other times they are open spaces, or occupied by temporary structures. The town sits comfortably behind a palisade wall complete with a timber gatehouse and battlments. Fö Zë Kez's timber-based walls has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

Fö Zë Kez is not quite well. Something happened here, perhapse recently, perhapse long ago. Whatever it was, it settled into the very soul of the town like a festering wound. The people go about their day well enough, but there’s a tention in the air you can cut with a knife. There’s a patern to the panic. It’s not easy to see, and no one quite agrees on what it is, but the locals know and operate under this pattern. It shapes everything they do, and you feel as if you’ve almost worked it out only for some small detail to devastate your theory every time you try and comprehend it.

Civic Infrastructure

Fö Zë Kez has an animal control department which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the control, impoundment, and disposition of animals.

Fö Zë Kez has an Office of Civil Vicary, which is responsible for providing a livelyhood for all officialy recognised religious figures within Fö Zë Kez.

Fö Zë Kez has a Gravedigger's Guild, which is responsible for collecting the dead and laying them to rest according to all applicable laws and religious customs.

Fö Zë Kez has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Fö Zë Kez has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Fö Zë Kez's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Fö Zë Kez has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Fö Zë Kez has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Fö Zë Kez's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is known primarily for its use of abstraction and simplicity. Clean lines, right angles, and primary colors characterized this aesthetic and art movement expressed via architecture and paintings. Its design ethos allows only primary colors and non-colors, only squares and rectangles, only straight and horizontal or vertical lines. Vertical and horizontal lines are positioned in layers or planes that do not intersect, thereby allowing each element to exist independently and unobstructed by other elements. These seemingly impossible principals for an architectural style coalesces into structures which most experts find hard to put into words. It is not that their geometry is impossible, but rather the style's attempt at producing works only describable visually was most successful..

Fö Zë Kez's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in spring and involves consuming a local narcotic to channel Augury energies of tier 3 via recitation of scripture.
